Christmas Cribs was started 37 years ago by Joan Kottler, a mother of 4 young children who had a keen interest and huge artistic talent in producing the nativity scene for the family each year. Over the years she and her husband David, built a large client base of admirers, who bought into their passion for the Nativity. I was one of those admirers and started to gather my set many years ago when my 3 children were very small, now at 16, my daughter still has great pleasure in bringing out our set at Christmas Time.
When I heard that Joan and David planned to retire, I was immediately concerned that the legacy of this wonderful family business, which has brought so much happiness to so many people would disappear. As a result, I will aim to bring my own brand of enthusiasm to Christmas Cribs and look forward to carrying on the tradition of producing individually, handmade figures for many years to come.”
